Song Sessions // September
Things have been wild this month – a new city, new songs in my inbox, new songwriters and projects. Alex and I have been busy mixing, getting ready for a big campaign coming up and our first launch. I just can’t wait to have our new music out there. Meanwhile co-writes have been keeping me busy, lots of indie pop this month – which seems to vibe well with my new hipster landscape. I feel lucky to have so many different songs and writers in my life.

Celebrate Creativity
I was recently asked to share some ideas with a class of elementary school kids about celebrating creativity. As a former elementary schooler, I think it’s the perfect age for brewing creative juices – so of course I said of course!

Seattle Show // RAW
Chris and I had an incredible time playing at RAW in Seattle Saturday night! We rocked out to the live debut of our new electro tracks and hung out with some amazing Northwest talent.

Song Sessions // Poptastic
My bandmate Alex and I have been asked to write for an up-and-coming Latin/pop artist, and of course I jumped at the chance to work on a poptastic pop song. Writing something like a gushy, guilty-pleasure is one of my favorite things – it must be the bed-jumping, Justin Timberlake worshiping teenage girl inside me, but I can’t think of a better, more eye-roll inducing (from Alex) assignment.
We recently met with Adrian and his entourage in downtown Los Angeles to talk music, his image and live show which includes back-up dancers and a full band. Alex talked shop with his manager and we got to work on the track, “Game Changer” – it’s fun, sexy and upbeat (and yes I may have been rapping a little during the demo). This one’s for the ladies. Stay tuned!
